VigorOx® WWT II
Disinfectant and Antimicrobial Agent for Treatment of Water
 

VigorOx® WWT II is a formulation of peracetic acid for the control of pathogens and other microbial organisms in raw sewage, sewage effluent and cooling water applications. VigorOx® WWT II is an equilibrium mixture of peracetic acid, acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and water. The breakdown products of this formulation are acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide which are highly biodegradable.

VigorOx® WWT II is a highly effective biocide demonstrating superior microbial reductions of fecal coliform compared to gaseous chlorine or bleach at lower use rates and shorter contact times. Also this product can be used to enhance UV systems, lowering the power requirement for the lamps, lowering the lamp operating temperature and extending the time for lamp cleaning and replacement.

Additionally VigorOx® WWT II can be used in cooling tower, evaporative coolers and lagoons to control the bio-loading and bio-film. The hydrogen peroxide in the product attacks the glue (polysaccharide) that holds the bio-film in place and the peracetic acid attacks the microbial organisms.

VigorOx® WWT II is effective against a broad spectrum of micro-organisms, it is easy to use, non-foaming and the breakdown products are non-toxic. This product can be used over a wide temperature range and uses such as primary, secondary and tertiary effluent treatment, combined sewer overflow, reuse streams and enhancement of UV.
